Projecting Home Prices till 2030

Which US cities will see the highest home price appreciation over the next decade?

In collaboration with Fortune, Home.LLC analyzed the 100 largest metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs), with a minimum population of 500,000.

Here are the 2030 Home Price projections for each MSA

Our Methodology
We analyzed over 1000 factors, and assigned weights (signifying importance) to each, based on a combination of data science and research. The weights range from 0 to 10, as follows:
We then assigned each factor to one of the following categories:
  • Factors that impact demand for homes (Return¬†factors)
  • Factors that impact the supply of homes (Risk¬†factors)
Finally, we generated our Home Price Appreciation projections and ranks, based on the Risk and Return scores for each MSA.
Below, you can see the projected Risk and Return profile of each MSA
For example, Boston is a Low Risk – High Return MSA, while Boise City is a High Risk – High Return MSA.
We’ve provided our final weights for a few of the Risk and Return factors. You can personalize your own scenario by changing these weights. To reset, click (|<-) at the bottom.
